About
RYVN is a Los Angeles-based electronic music producer and DJ operating at the intersection of techno, ambient, and experimental club music.
Emerging from the underground club circuit in 2019, RYVN built a reputation for sets that move between crushing industrial textures and weightless atmospheric drift — often within the same hour. The project resists easy genre classification, drawing equally from the Detroit techno canon, UK bass music, and the more abstract edges of contemporary club culture.
The debut EP Signal Loss arrived in 2022 on a Berlin-based imprint, followed by Voidwalker later that year — a record that earned placement on several year-end lists and opened doors to festival bookings across Europe and North America. Drift Protocol (2023) pushed further into experimental territory, incorporating field recordings and extended synthesis techniques alongside the dancefloor-oriented material.
The 2024 album Parallax is RYVN's most fully realized statement to date — a 12-track arc that moves from sparse, tension-filled openings through peak-time intensity and back into silence. It was recorded across sessions in Los Angeles, Berlin, and a remote studio in the Scottish Highlands.
